Profhilo is a bio-remodeling injectable used for treating skin laxity and hydrating the skin. It is made with pure hyaluronic acid or HA, consisting of two different molecular weights of HA (low and high). It helps replace the loss of collagen and elastin and stimulate their natural production, improving the skin’s firmness and elasticity.

How does Profhilo Body work?

Profhilo Body remodels the tissue and improves skin laxity by stimulating the production of collagen (4 types) and elastin. It has low molecular weight hyaluronic acid (L-HA) that hydrates and regenerates the skin, and high molecular weight (H-HA), which helps reduce sagging by providing a lifting effect.

This bio-remodeling product is injected beneath the skin’s surface, slowly releasing hyaluronic acid. It then attracts and holds water from the body, which improves skin hydration and tone. It uses the BAP (bio-aesthetic points) technique for the body areas, which consists of only 10 points of injection.

Profhilo is a stabilized product, which is why after the treatment, it lasts in the skin around 28 days, delivering lasting moisture and improvement in skin laxity. It continues to produce collagen and elastin, which is beneficial in tightening loose skin. Profhilo can help reverse the signs of aging by improving overall tissue skin quality.

PROFHILO® BODY KIT – THE PROFHILO BODY TREATMENT PROTOCOL

The Profhilo® Body Kit provides a complete treatment for body skin laxity. This includes the: 

• Profhilo injectable – administered at the medical aesthetic clinic.
• Profhilo Figura Body Patch – placed after the treatment to hydrate the skin and reduce redness.
• Profhilo Figura Body Cream – applied at home to maintain the results and restore tone and elasticity while also deeply moisturizing the skin.

Before the procedure, topical numbing cream is applied to the treatment area. Then, using very fine needles, the aesthetic doctor injects the Profhilo Body just below the skin. The exact points on which the Profhilo will be injected have already been marked and predetermined. This is through the BAP technique, which consists of 10 points for each area.

Once it is injected, Profhilo Body spreads out evenly beneath the skin because of the high concentration of HA. After the treatment, the Figura Body Patch is placed on the skin to moisturize the area and minimize redness. The last part of the treatment is the Figura Body Cream, applied at home to tone, hydrate, and moisturize the skin. 

The treatment is quick. It can be done in 30 minutes, but it still depends on the size of the treatment area and the amount of injectable used.

Are there any side effects?

Is there downtime?

There is minimal to no downtime after the procedure, so you can resume your daily activities. Make sure not to touch or massage the treatment area for about six hours and avoid strenuous exercise following the treatment, as well as saunas and steam rooms for 24 to 48 hours.

How many Profhilo Body treatments are necessary?

The initial treatment protocol is 2 sessions that are spaced one month apart. This, however, may be modified depending on the needs of the patient.

How long will I have to wait before I see the results?

This varies from patient to patient, as everyone has different skin quality and concerns. Some may notice improvements immediately after the first session, while others may have to wait for weeks to see results.

In general, significant results appear 2 to 3 months after the second Profhilo treatment. Most notice improvements in laxity, elasticity, and the skin’s overall appearance. 

How long do the results last?

You can expect the results to last for 6 months, as the HA in Profhilo is naturally broken down after this period. But then again, every patient is unique, which is why the longevity of results can vary depending on the area, the amount of injectable used in the treatment, and the amount or level of HA in the patient’s body.
